The New WHPR FM 88.1 is now seeking creative, energetic self-starters to develop and sell advertising and marketing campaigns to new and existing clients. The Account Executive will cultivate new client relationships and business opportunities through cold calling, networking and referrals; manage and grow existing accounts; identify clients' advertising/marketing goals and create customized programs to help them meet those goals. These individuals are also accountable for achieving sales budgets and collecting on accounts. An innovative approach to client development and an understanding of how companies are using the internet and social networking to market their business is essential. The ideal candidate must have:

Minimum 1 year sales experience. Radio or other media experience is preferred.

Exceptional communication, presentation and negotiation skills.

Basic knowledge of MS Office programs, and be willing to learn radio-specific software.

Excellent organization and time-management skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

A valid driver's license and a vehicle with proof of insurance.


The following skills are preferred, but not required:

College degree.

Working knowledge of vendor programs, online marketing, and new media platforms.

Experience in selling and executing sponsorship opportunities.
